75° Italian Open 2018
This year the Gardagolf Country Club in Valtenesi a few steps from the lower Lake Garda, will host the 75th Italian Open.
The tournament will be played from 31 May to 3 June 2018, preceded by Pro Am on 30 May.
The highest national golf event will return for the fourth consecutive time in Lombardy after the three editions of the Golf Club Milano, where this year the new record of spectators was recorded with 73,000 appearances in four days of competition.
Gardagolf Country Club will be the third edition for our Gardesan Garden after those of 1997 and 2003. The tournament is included among the eight prestigious races of the Rolex Series, the world-level events in the European Tour calendar, and will be up for grabs for the second consecutive year seven million dollars, prize money that will keep until 2027.
The presence of many of the internationally renowned champions who will be staged in Wentworth for the prestigious BMW PGA Championship last week will bring enormous prestige to this very important sporting event.
The importance of the Open of Italy, which is the spearhead of the Ryder Cup 2022 Project, is growing ever more, the path of Italian golf towards the challenge between Europe and the United States, scheduled in five years in Rome, at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club.
