European Heritage Days 2018
On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September, the European Heritage Days 2018, in museums and cultural places throughout Italy, will return with the theme “The Art of Sharing”.
Guided tours, special initiatives and openings of places normally closed to the public will be organized in the museums and in the places of the state culture, which will be accessed with ordinary timetables and costs during the days of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September. In addition, extraordinary evening openings at the symbolic cost of 1 euro are scheduled for the evening of Saturday 22 September.
We indicate below the places you can visit in Desenzano del Garda, Sirmione and near Lake Garda.
Desenzano del Garda
Last concert of the 6th edition of the Garda Lake Music Academy Master, with the artistic direction of Luca Ranieri (Prima Viola with the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala and the Filarmonica) which sees the presence of the most important names in the international music scene. The Baroque Concert with Vittorio Ghielmi, viola da gamba and Sara Mingardo contralto together with the baroque group La Mole Armonica will be held in the evocative setting of the Villa Romana di Desenzano.

During the European Heritage Days, the Castle and the Museum of Desenzano del Garda, open for free to the public, organize exhibitions and guided tours.
The Roman villa of the Nonii Arrii: between culture and nature
A cycle of guided tours will introduce you to the archaeological area and the rooms of the ancient Villa. On Sunday 23rd, at 4:45 pm, it will be possible to watch the performance by Pino Casamassima, who will play the monologue “The song of the sirens – Odyssey on the sea for Ithaca”.

At the paper museum: a journey through history and culture
With the guided tours of the Paper Museum it will be possible to retrace the steps of paper production through the centuries, with demonstrations of handmade paper production.
